Optional app analytics

Share app usage is off by default. If you enable it in the app’s Privacy & permissions settings, Muslima Fit sends app opens, workout starts and completions, broad workout type, app version, setup completion, and event times to its secure service and Supabase. A random installation identifier lets us measure returning installations and match workout starts to completions. These events are not linked to your account and contain no names, email addresses, health answers, exercise details, photos, or camera frames.

Administrators see aggregate usage reports. Events are retained for up to 180 days. Turning sharing off stops collection immediately and requests deletion of your usage events. Offline deletion retries when you reconnect and open the app. A hash of the retired installation credential is retained to prevent delayed requests from restoring deleted events. Deleting app data also turns sharing off and requests this deletion. Apple may separately provide its own aggregated reports according to your Apple settings.

Information kept on your device

Your calorie-estimate details (exact age, height, weight, sex used for calculation, and usual activity), workout history, progress, active program, saved recipes, prepared-meal records, food-intake entries, weight check-ins, cached meal images, and app settings are stored locally on your iPhone. If you sign in and enable account sync, the records listed in the account-sync section are also saved to your cloud account.

Generated meal images are stored in the app’s cache on your device. You can clear that cache from Settings without deleting recipes or saved meals.

If you use the website onboarding or app preview, unfinished answers, the profile awaiting transfer, demo progress, and sign-in session information may be stored in your browser. The web host may process basic request information, such as an IP address, device or browser details, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site.

Previous launch waitlist

The launch waitlist is closed to new signups. If you previously joined, we retain your name, email address, recommended program if you completed the preview, and the time and version of your launch-notification consent in Supabase. We use this information to notify you when Muslima Fit launches. Joining did not create an app account or sign you up for a newsletter.

The waitlist did not send any of your age, height, weight, sex used for calculation, activity, faith-reminder, dietary, allergy, or kitchen answers to the server. Answers previously saved by the planner may remain in your browser after the waitlist closes. Anyone using the same browser may be able to access them. Clear site data in your browser to remove those saved answers; closing the tab does not delete them.

Waitlist records are not readable or editable by public website visitors. Access is restricted to the service that saves signups and authorized launch operations. To withdraw your launch-email consent or request deletion, email signup@muslimafit.com from the address you used to join.

Accounts and device sync

When you sign in from Account & sync, Supabase processes your email address, authentication record, and secure session tokens. Signing in enables cloud sync. You can use the app without signing in; its data then stays on that device unless you use another feature that sends data.

Cloud sync saves your profile and fitness preferences, including exact age, height, weights, sex used for calorie calculation, activity level, faith-reminder preference, food restrictions and allergens, calorie targets, and theme. It also saves your workout and coach history, program progress, custom plans, meal plans, saved recipes, grocery lists, food logs, and weight check-ins so the same account can restore them on another device.

Account records are protected so each signed-in user can access only their own data. Device permissions, Apple Health activity, analytics consent, AI-sharing permissions, workout drafts, and cached images are not synced. Offline changes remain on your device until the app reconnects. Deleted records retain a deletion marker to prevent old devices from restoring them. Signing out removes account data from that device after syncing; deleting the account removes its cloud records and deletion markers.

Camera coaching

If you allow camera access, Muslima Fit analyzes live workout camera frames on your device to estimate movement and provide form feedback. The app does not record, save, or upload your workout video. Camera access is optional and can be changed in iPhone Settings.

AI meal planning

When you request a meal plan, adaptation, consultant review, meal swap, or recipe image, Muslima Fit sends the information needed to complete that request to its secure service and OpenAI. This can include your first name, age range, fitness goal and level, calorie target, weight-change direction, active workout program, food preferences and restrictions, kitchen preferences, recipe details, up to 14 days of logged food totals and names, and up to eight weight check-ins. Workout camera video is not sent.

Muslima Fit asks permission before sending this information. You can revoke permission in Settings → Privacy & permissions; cached recipes and images remain available, but new AI generations stop.

To let meal generation resume after a connection failure, Muslima Fit temporarily stores the meal-generation request and result in its restricted Supabase job queue. Jobs expire after 24 hours and are removed by scheduled cleanup. The queue does not store signed Apple purchase proofs or meal photos. This temporary processing does not create a durable user profile. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the API customer opts in, and that default abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days. AI features require internet access and are optional.

Recipe sharing

Choosing Share link uploads a copy of the recipe, including its selected servings, ingredients, instructions, and estimated nutrition, to Muslima Fit’s service and Supabase. Anyone with the link can read it without an account. Shared copies remain available after you change your meal plan or delete your local app data. Your name, profile, calorie target, weight, and food logs are not included in the share.

Choosing Share recipe text sends the recipe through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose, without creating a stored recipe link. Recipients can keep or forward either form of sharing. To request removal of a stored recipe, contact us with its link.

Meal photo analysis

When you choose Scan Meal and separately allow photo analysis, Muslima Fit sends the selected meal photo and meal category to its secure service and OpenAI. The service uses the image to estimate visible foods, portions, calories, and macronutrients. Estimates can be wrong, especially for hidden ingredients, oils, sauces, and portion depth, and must be reviewed before logging.

The app does not add the meal photo to your food log or save it as part of your meal history. Muslima Fit discards the photo after completing the request. Service providers may retain limited request data under their security and abuse-prevention policies. You can revoke meal photo analysis separately in Settings → Privacy & permissions.

Apple Health and notifications

With your permission, Muslima Fit reads active energy and workout records from Apple Health, including workouts recorded by Apple Watch, and writes completed Muslima Fit workouts, duration, and estimated active energy. Health data is used only for health and fitness functionality and is not used for advertising or sold.

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local workout or subscription reminders through iOS. You can change Health and notification permissions in Apple’s Health app or iPhone Settings.

Purchases and support

Subscriptions and purchase status are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Muslima Fit receives entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.

The Contact us screen uses the iOS share sheet. Your message, optional email address, and optional image go only to the destination you choose. If you send that information to Muslima Fit, it is used to respond and is retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, safety, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Sharing and service providers

Muslima Fit does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. The app may share limited information with Apple for purchases, Health permissions, and device services; with Supabase for email authentication and account sync; with OpenAI for requested AI features; and with hosting and security providers needed to operate the website and AI service.

Service providers are required to process information only for the services described here and to apply protections consistent with this policy and applicable law. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect users, the public, or Muslima Fit.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local app records remain until you change them, use the in-app deletion control, or delete the app. Camera frames are not retained. A linked Supabase account remains until you delete it through the in-app control; clearing your browser or deleting the app alone does not delete the cloud account.

You can decline or revoke camera, Health, notification, and AI access without losing access to unrelated features. Settings → Privacy & permissions lets you delete local data or a linked account and synced records. Service providers may retain limited records under their own security, legal, and abuse-prevention requirements.

Security and age requirement

Muslima Fit uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no device, network, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

The app is intended for adults age 18 and older. Muslima Fit does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
